You’ve probably never heard of Cincinnati psychedelic garage trio The Harlequins before, but that’s about to change with the release of their self-titled, self-released second album. After playing several hundred shows in the midwest over the past four years, they’ve honed their sound to a razor-sharp mix of Thee Oh Sees’ sonic experimentation and the loose-limbed pop songcraft of Guided By Voices, best represented by the short, sharp “Backwards Forwards.”

The band will be releasing The Harlequins at a free blowout party on March 3rd at Cincinnati’s Mayday, along with Atlanta’s Gringo Star, and will be selling it on their website afterwards.
