MEET THE DALAI LAMA?
Dalai Lama manages to remain unknown in an era of unknown bands - the only information I could find out about him was through Todd Novak himself in an A/V Club Interview. In terms of involving the band for the second round of Hookup Klub, he said, “…[The Dalai Lamas is] the only entry in the second Hookup Klub that nobody knows. It’s just this guy out in California who makes this bizarre, simple music. The closest thing I can say is it sounds like The Troggs, The Modern Lovers, or The Equals. That might be one of the last wild-card things in the batch this round.”
