Review: Ramma Lamma - Little Runaway 7”

POP! Out of a town mostly known for making beer and fat people, Milwaukee has a gem of a band hiding in its city limits. Ramma Lamma is in fact that band, and if you haven’t heard ‘em yet, get ready to go out and buy another 7”! Fronted by husband and wife team Ryan King and Wendy Norton, these guys put out a good little slice of wax here. These jams are part power pop, with a little more power, and part bubblegum, with a little less bubble. I guess some would call it glam rock… Either way, its good shit. The guitars come in hot and the vox are that perfect amount of intensity. By the time it was done, you’re left thinking, “WTF?! Where’s the rest?!” I wanted more. Hopefully a full-length is in the works, but for the time being, you’re just gonna have to pick up this little taste of tastiness from Goodbye Boozy. This Italian label is on a serious hot streak right now, (Audacity, People’s Temple, Ty & Mikal) so get it before its gone!
